The Drawing Exercise Awry Part 23


So these drawings may seem a little strange to you. Maybe you don’t know why, but you can just tell that something isn’t right. That’s because these boxes are oblique drawings. Oblique drawings are drawings done with a forced perspective. Each angle is identical. In this case, they are all drawn using 45 degree angles. But because they don’t follow a vanishing point, they don’t taper off the way that they would in a proper perspective drawing, which makes them look odd.
