A Day Late…Fan Expo Highlights from My Table

Hey all! Sorry I’m late with the update! Last night was recoup night and letting everything set in.

Luke Cage aka Powerman – I loved this guy, both the comic character and this cosplayer. I used to read this book when I was a kid and I had a lot of admiration for him. He turned his life around and really kicked ass. The guy cosplaying him? A real sweetheart from Australia who geeked out for a bit with me.

Eternity’s Extreme Make-over. Making her even more adorable than before! By this point in time she was getting into the convention and was having a great time.

A candid shot of a pirate. I made a point of getting a shot of him merely strolling through the convention, rather than the set up pose I knew he’d give me if I asked.

The Cheshire Cat as it was leaving my booth, into the hands of a fan.

By this point I was on an Alice in Wonderland kick. I had already drawn the Cheshire Cat, which was given to a fan, so I wanted to fill the space and what better way than with Alice herself?

A candid shot of fauns in their habitat.

A beautiful shot of convention fauns.

John and his adorable daughter stopped by my booth to say hi.

I loved the outfit and admittedly, I would wear that in everyday life. Yes, I’m *that* kind of person.

Got ring? Not only did he have a fantastic costume, but you could hear him clinking towards you. (definitely not stealth armour)

2013-04-21 09.57.19

Candid shot of Lionel and Mumra. (Yesterday they were He-Man and Skeletor) they were awesome.

Eternity as she first arrives to the convention. She is unsure of things, as well she should be.

Lego Yoda!

A close up to see what Yoda was made of.

Dragon Doodle

My most memorable moments of the convention was seeing all the fantastic costumes, friendly faces (both old friends and new) and hopefully new fans who were willing to take a chance on a minicomic. Basically? I have to say it looks like fun times were had by all!

The yellow sidecar button and snapple button: I wants them. Also, I’ll have one of the fauns on the right, please 🙂

That can certainly be arranged. Message me and we can make arrangements. (Fauns not included in this offer sadly) 🙂

  2. Aunt Katie Says:

Informative set of pictures and window into the event.

  3. Paul Denis Says:

I’m Power Man in the cosplay and I would like to say that I’m not Australian, I am from London, England. Sorry to disappoint! But thank you for your comment!

My apologies. I loved your costume! It is still one of the ones that stick with me. I guess that’s because I read Power Man as a kid and I really liked the character.
